Before boarding the boat in the late afternoon, transfer to the town of Male for a tour. Lunch on board, settle in, and go on a journey of exploration.
At the airport, personnel will greet you and drive you to Male, where you will meet our boat’s captain and crew. We’ll leave once we’ve settled into our cabins.
For the first night at sea, the objective is to anchor in (or just outside) the little port of the adjacent island of Guraidhoo in South Malé Atoll after a 2- to 3-hour trip south through the Vaadhoo Canal.
Day 02
South Malé Atoll/Ambara
After a leisurely start, continue to South Malé Atoll’s southernmost point before navigating across the channel to Felidhoo Atoll. By early afternoon, arrive at the lovely uninhabited island of Ambara. Spend the remainder of the day relaxing on the beach or snorkeling the island’s surrounding seas.
Cross the passage to Felidhoo Atoll after continuing to South Malé Atoll’s southernmost point. Fishing is the principal industry in this region, and on at least one of the islands, visitors can frequently observe traditional boat building.
Day 03
Ambara/Fenboa Finolhu
Travel across the Meemu Atoll till you reach the lovely deserted island of Fenboa Finolhu. Stay the night so you have plenty of time the next day to enjoy the beach and go snorkeling near the reefs.
for two to three hours, then proceed to Meemu Atoll. Stick close to shore (weather allowing) and cruise near to many of the beautiful islands throughout the trip.
There are 34 islands in Meemu Atoll, 25 of which are uninhabited. We are more likely to encounter the genuine Maldivian way of life here than anywhere else.
Day 04
Fenboa Finolhu/Dhiggaru
Approach the island of Djiggaru from the east, stopping on route to snorkel on a reef, and arrive in the late afternoon. Enjoy the residents’ relaxed attitude and way of life throughout the evening. Get a chance to attend an evening performance of the nation’s traditional folk music, Bodu Beru (Big Drum).
Day 05
Dhiggaru/Felidhu Atholhu
Return to Felidhoo, the administrative hub of Felidhoo Atoll. Spend some time exploring the community and discovering new things about the islanders’ way of life.
Day 06
Felidhu Atholhu/Eboodhoofinolhu
Enjoy the longest leg of the trip back through the South Malé atoll and Felidhoo islands. There are numerous options to go swimming and snorkeling or to see the islands while traveling. Emboodhu Finolhu, one of South Malé Atoll’s northernmost islands, is the day’s target.
Day 07
Eboodhoofinolhu/Male
Make the quick trip over to Malé in the morning. Arrival at Malé International Airport marks the end of the excursion.
